The Foundation’s office compound in Chiang Mai is located near the university campus. Interns can work and live here at the same time in modest accommodation free of charge. The idea is to bring together young interns from Europe and South East Asia to enable reciprocal learning. Preference is given to young people from Thailand and the South East Asian region, who are interested in sustainable development, energy issues and gender democracy. A good working knowledge of English and in addition either German or Thai is required. The duration of the internship should be at least 3 months, preferably longer.
The Heinrich Böll Foundation offers insights into the practical aspects of its work as well as administration and planning processes. Interns will work in a multicultural context with a particular focus on Thai culture and society. Advanced students will be able to work on specific subjects related to their experiences and interests.
Please send your letter of application and CV in English to lars@hbfasia.org
Internships are also offered at the foundation's office in Phnom Penh. While a number of interns from Germany have worked with us so far, we also strongly encourage individuals from Cambodia and the Southeast Asian region to apply. Unfortunately, the Phnom Penh office cannot supply accommodation, but offers the opportunity to gain insight into both the contents and the administrational aspects of the Heinrich Böll Stiftung's work in Cambodia.
Requirements are a good working knowledge of English, a profound interest in sustainable development and gender democracy as well as the willingness to work with the foundation for at least three months.
For applications (including CV and letter of application) and questions, please send an e-mail to phnompenh@hbfasia.org
