สนับสนุนโดย มูลนิธิ ไฮน์ริค เบิลล์ (supported by Heinrich Boell Foundation) 158 Community Radio stations were surveyed through questionnaires, based on quantitative methodology, to analyze the situation of community radio stations in Thailand. The content of the survey consists of four main issues: the profile of community radio stations; the contents of community radio programs and productions, in order to get information on people's accessibility and participation, also regarding gender; the obstacles from state policy and other factors causing community radio stations' insecurity; as well as policy recommendations in the final part. สถานีวิทยุชุมชนจำนวน 158 แห่ง ได้รับการสำรวจจากแบบสอบถาม โดยใช้วิธีการศึกษาเชิงปริมาณ เพื่อวิเคราะห์สถานการณ์วิทยุชุมชนในประเทศไทย เนื้อหาในการศึกษาประกอบด้วยสี่ส่วนหลัก ได้แก่ สถานการณ์ทั่วไปของสถานีวิทยุชุมชน, เนื้อหารายการและผู้ดำเนินรายการเพื่อให้เข้าใจโอกาสในการเข้าถึงข้อมูลข่าวสารของประชาชนและการมีส่วนร่วมระหว่างหญิงชาย, ปัญหาอุปสรรคจากนโยบายของรัฐและปัจจัยอื่น ๆ ที่สร้างความไม่มั่นคงให้แก่สถานภาพของวิทยุชุมชน สำหรับในส่วนสุดท้ายเป็นการนำเสนอข้อเสนอแนะจากการศึกษา
